Day...
What a better way to spend a rainy day than playing in a Fort.

The storms the last few days have been out of control.  We have enjoyed the much needed rain and our grass looks better but the winds are out of control.   As a matter of fact this morning the tornado sirens went off an hour before Sarah had to go to school and Chad and felt it was in every ones best interest that Sarah stayed home from school today.   So what a better way to spend the day than as a family and Chad had a blast making Sarah and Adam a fort and they played in it for hours.

Sarah and Adam are hiding inside the fort!  I have to admit I took a long nap in the fort with
Adam today and it sure did bring back old childhood memories.

Day...

SPECIAL CHAPEL HELPER!

Sarah assisted with the candles at Chapel  today.

This is quite an honor for the the children who attend New Covenant School.

When did Sarah become so grown up?

This is Sarah's friend Tanner.  He was the other Chapel helper who helped  put the candles out.

Day..

Guess what came out on DVD today?

Well for those of you who are out of the loop, Ariel is no longer Sarah's favorite princess.  How can that be?  Yep it happened the minute we saw the movie Tangled in the theaters over Christmas while in Ohio.  From that point on Sarah became a bit infatuated with Rapunzel!  So you can only imagine how many days we counted down until the movie/DVD arrived at Target.Yippee today is the day!   After dropping Sarah and Adam off to school, Hunter and I  booked it to Target to get the movie.   Since I had a five dollar coupon we ended up buying the set with five different types of DVD's ranging from 3D to just a plain old DVD!  When did movies get so complex?  Anyway it was the best deal even though we will never watch the other four disk how every,  it would be cool to watch the movie in 3D some day.
Oh by the way thank goodness I made it to Target by 9:30am because the Tangled movie was sold out later that day!  These are  the moments I give myself a big high five! The smile on Sarah's face was worth more than words and watching her reaction warmed my heart!

Katie one of Sarah's friends from her class came over after school for a play date.  Katie watched Tangled for the first time today.  She loved it and of course Sarah and Adam did too!  I laughed so hard because Adam still cracked up laughing at the same part as he did when we saw it in the theater!  Listening to his belly laugh warmed my heart too!

Day..
Look what we found outside our front door today!  Is all I can say is OMG!

Now do you want the long version of the story or the short version?  If you know me I am going to give you the long version so I hope your sitting down!  For those of you who may be out of touch, I have been watching a little boy for almost eight months now.  His mom usually drops him off around 6:15am or 6:30am and if you can imagine during that time of hour it is still very dark out.  Ok already,  I will cut to the chase!  So when Hunter's mom dropped him off we saw a snake on the grounds next to our bushes in between Adams room and the front door way.  It was hard to see but is all we wanted to do was shut the door as fast as we could.  Well, the morning routine went on and a just mentioned to Chad once we woke up that there was a snake outside the house this morning.  Now by this time, it was around 9:30 10:00, I had already dropped the kids off at school.  He bolted outside like he was Super man or something. and what do you think he found?  Yep right over his head.  I would of never looked up because I am small but I guess being a tall guy you notice stuff like this.

Who is more afraid?  Who will win the fight?

Don't worry it is just a rat/garden snake good to have but get to be really big.  Not something we want around our house especially with Sarah, Adam and Hunter.  Well the kicker to all of this drama is Chad did not want to hurt the snake, he only wanted to save it in a container.  He even cut wholes into  the container for it to breath in order for  him to show Sarah and Adam once they got home from school. Well can you imagine what happened?  Yep...  as soon as he went to put it into the container it raced away and was gone within seconds.  We tried to find it and looked all day long .  This snake is really hiding or gone to a new home!  Not really sure but don't like the fact that this unwanted creature is still on the prowl!  Needles to say Sarah and Adam only got to see the snake by looking at these pictures but were still amazed!

Day..

Oh my!!!! This is from our garden and it taste soooo good!

This is the first tomato we picked from our garden.  It is nice and ripe and red.  Can't wait to taste it! Once again Sarah is a pro at balancing objects on her head.  It amazes Chad and I how much she loves to do this and how good she is.  Who knows, maybe she will be a magician or in the circus!

Oh my!  That is all Sarah and I can say!

Day..

Swimming at the Lake Mary YMCA outdoor pool!

The weather has been outstanding the last week or so.  It has reached the high 80 to mid 90 mark!  What a better way to spend this fantastic day other than swimming.  We decided to meet up with our good what we call "Margo friends" Today is Sarah and Adam's first day actually swimming in a pool since last summer.  I can't get over how well both of them did.  Sarah still swims well on her own but will still enroll her in swim lessons to build her swim technique.  Adam on the other hand totally shocked me.  He was fine with me letting him go so he could reach for the edge.  I can't wait to see how much his swimming skills grow this summer.  Doesn't Adam look so cute next to his girlfriend Scarlett.  They are in the same class and get along super!  Scarlett loves Adam  it is really good for him.  Today they had a blast hanging out together but then again when dont' they!

Adam showing off.  Once again he just amazed me!  Mr. Independent!  He wanted to kick and bust the moves for all the girls!  Great job Adam  and  I am convinced that by the end of this summer 2011, you will be swimming on your own!

She is ready for the swim team!  Now that we live in the city that has one of the nicest aquatic centers and also being members of the YMCA Sarah will have every chance to build her swimming skills to be on swim team next year.  Sarah's second cousins Kevin, Kristen, and David will be so proud of you! Who knows they may come to FL to watch you race!

Relaxing with Gabriella and Grace.  They both go to school with Sarah and are really good friends of ours.  Grace will be going to Kindergarten with Sarah so it should make the transition nice for both of them!  We can't wait to spend  lots of time with the "Margo family" this summer!  FYI... the YMCA outdoor pool was a nice 84 degrees!

Day...
Bethune Beach Day ....  This beach is located South of New Smyrna Beach.   This beach is less crowded than New Smyrna and being spring break time New Smyrna is out of control. I love Bethune beach because no cars are allowed on the beach!  We are really good friends with Bryon, Kim, Jenna and Brandon ... The Chaney family.  Chad and Bryon work on the same sift but at different stations.  Kim is one of my dear friends and we try to get our families together as much as possible, considering we live almost and hour away from one another. Our children are the same age and they get along great!
Since the Chaney family spring break overlapped with ours this wonderful week/weekend we decided to meet up at the beach!  We had a blast spending time with our favorite friends and can't wait to spend more beach time with them this summer!  WEST COAST here we come!

While Chad was building in the sand with Adam I notice he put his hand down and it made an imprint.  So I asked Chad to have Adam do the same.  It is really hard to see Adam's hand print next to Chad's but it still cute!

The dads, Chad and Bryon entertaining the kids while the moms snap a few photos!

Adam spending some time with daddy.  Catching a wave or two.  Adam really wanted mommy to come out in the ocean but that was not going to happen!  For one the water was freezing and number two I don't swim in water I can't see the bottom floor of.  Take me to the west coast and you can't get me out of the sea!

Jenna and Sarah are best friends and they play so well together.  The girls saw a few other kids barring each other in the sand and so they decided to try it out.  Jenna had the hardest job but they stayed at if for at least a good thirty minutes.

Adam and Brandon are both three and get along like champs!  They are at that age where they play independently but also enjoy each others company.   As you can see by this picture they have a blast with one another!

We decided to take a walk on the beach and look what we found.  This crab was to funny, so funny we flipped on his back and tried to walk backwards.  I tried to get a photo but was not fast enough.

Jenna and Sarah spent some time watching the crab while the boys continued to pick up more shells and keep up with the dads.

Best Friends!

Day.

Look! Look!  Look!

We did it!  The Chorak family invested in a tomato plant and a pepper plant.  We have never grown our own fruits and vegetables but we thought we would give it a shot.  We bought our plants from Costco and a lady who was buying the same plants as us provided us with all types of helpful tips.  We were going to build a raised garden but decided against because we wanted to see if we could really take care of the plants.  Well has you can see from this photo the Chorak family has been doing a super job maintaining the plants.  I wish I would of had Sarah and Adam's reaction on video once they realized that one of the tomato's had turned red.  They were so thrilled and can't wait to taste them.

Adam and Sarah sat next to the pot for a good five minutes totally memorized by how the green tomato turned red!

Day.

Since we have been settled into the house, we have been so amazed at how beautiful  our back yard is.  We spend almost every night outside eating dinner,  watching the butterflies and listening to the birds.  Sarah and Adam really like it outside because they have a great swing set to play on.  However, Chad and I have really enjoyed watching them play, listening to them laugh and we just look at each other without saying a word to one another and really know.......WE ARE SO BLESSED! We have this beautiful house, gorgeous yard, all types of nature surrounding  us and family who we love and loves us, now this is living!  FYI don't mind all the tables in the photo, they are left over from Sarah and Adam's party!
