Day 22....

Grandma Denise came to Florida to see the new hous and stayed four nights- five days.  During her visit we came to Sea World since she bought a years pass during her last visit.  The weather was a lot colder than we thought it would be, mainly because of the wind but we still had a blast!

Grandma Denise, Sarah and Adam watching the Shamu show at Sea World.  This was my moms first time ever seeing the Shamu show.

Adam and Grandma Denise having a blast riding rides!  I am not sure who was more nervous Adam or my mom!  I am taking bets......

Day 20....
While Sarah was in school today I took Adam to get his hair cut.  Adam REALLY and I mean REALLY dislikes getting his hair cut.  Chad has tried to cut  Adams hair on many occasions and Adam screams bloody murder.  Chad and I even took him to Major League's (a guys Barber shop) and Adam acted the same way.  So, the  last option was to try Ms. Amy.  Amy is the lady who cuts Sarah and my hair.  Adam has witnessed Amy cutting Sarah's hair on plenty of occasions, so I thought he might feel more comfortable and I was right!  Adam did great!  He did not even cry!  A few times Adam said "no hurt" "no hurt" but besides that, he was a champ!  Problem now solved and doesn't Adam look so handsome?

After picking Sarah up for school and before heading to the airport to pick up Grandma Denise, we stopped to have Amy cut Sarah's hair.  Sarah only wanted the ends trimmed because she is trying to grow her hair really long.  Since Amy finished early, she decided to straighten Sarah's hair.  What do you think?  Sarah told me that she likes not having tangles but likes her curls!

Day 18......

Since being in the new house, Sarah and Adam love playing hide and seek in their closets.  The first time I played hide and seek with them,  I found Adam right away but it took me a few minutes to locate Sarah.  That was until she peeked her head out of her new laundry basket. Speaking of laundry baskets, we are working on making sure only clothes go into the baskets and not people or toys.  Since I just love gathering up the laundry and finding tons of miniature toys and cars in between clothes and in the wash machine.  Having laundry baskets in Sarah and Adams room is a new thing, so it will take a few weeks to get the routine down and for now I just like seeing them having a little fun!

Chad came home from work with a big bag a peanuts. Sarah, Adam and I thought the bag was for us to eat but boy we were mistaken.  Instead it was to feed all the squirrels we have running around the front and back yard.  Sarah and Adam had a blast throwing peanuts and from the looks of it the squirrels are very happy!

Day 17....
NO MORE DIAPERS OR PULL-UPS!  GO ADAM!!!
Adam has been fully potty trained since September and has been sleeping through the night Pull-Up free since November!  Look at him showing off his new Buzz... underwear!  I can't can't get over that in less than five months he went from a size 2-3 underwear to a 4!

Day 16....
What a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

Since the weather was absolutely beautiful today, I decided to take Sarah, Adam, and Hunter on a bike ride around the neighborhood.  While on the  bike ride we met a lot of families who live in the neighborhood .  Looks like we are making more and more friends everyday!  By the way check out Sarah... once again in her pajamas.  What am I going to do?  She loves wearing her pajamas!

Day 15....
Dinner Time Fun!
A few months ago Adam started making a funny expression in between eating his dinner!  When I asked Adam why he was making such a face, he said  " pussle power."  In other words, if he eats all his food he will have muscle power.

Day 14....
Today, Adam Sarah and I went to find out the results of Adams speech and language screening, that he took on 1-12-11.   As you can see I could not be more excited about the results.  I am so proud of Adam and how far he has come.  I can not thank Meridith, (Adam's speech therapist) and the Early Steps Program,  for all their  support and patience with Adam this past year. The massive jump in scores is also contributed  to Adams determination and how well he worked with me each and every day!  Even though Adams scores are high and he has grown leaps and bonds since March of 2010, he will still continue speech. Starting in March the focus will be on articulation, rather than building his vocabulary skills. Adam will attend Partin Elementary (free program through the public schools that he qualified for) and begin working with Ms. Ashley on articulation. He will see Meridith on a private bases once a week at the home!   Go Adam and keep up the great work everyone is so proud of you!!!!

The numbers hand written in black ink are Adam's scores from March of 2010.  The computer generated numbers are his scores from January 12, 2011.  Some of the numbers did go down because if he did not do a task (mainly because he was being stubborn) it was counted as a 0.  Over all  I am trilled and can't wait to see the next level Adam reaches.

Day 13...

The boys were out like a light, while the girls were having girl talk!  So sorry boys but you should of  fallen asleep sooner!  Ten minutes before we arrived home, does not justify a nap!

Bath time everyone!

Sarah is helping Hunter with  patty cake!

Day 12....
The joys of having a four year old in my life!
Sarah brought this picture home from school today. When I asked her to tell me about the picture she said, "mom.... (like come on, can't you figure it out) .. "it is a picture of you as a Mermaid swimming at Hawaii. " You know the place with all the flowers and when you get off  the plane they give you Lula!"  (Now come on people I did not spell lei wrong, that is how Sarah said it)! "Mom don't you love it?"  YES I DO!
OK everyone.. my daughter must have a rock of memory because a few weeks ago, Sarah and I were talking about warm states, countries, etc that I would like to visit and I said Hawaii.  Since then Sarah has been asking about Hawaii and when we are going to get warm and get lots of flowers. So does this mean Chad and I need to take my almost five year old to Hawaii for her birthday?  I hope not..... because she will be really disappointed when she finds out she is having an all girls "Tangled" birthday party like she has been asking for since she saw the movie!

Day 11....
Today was a very fun, anxious, crazy, and physical day! After we picked Sarah and Adam up from school they had a chance to play outside for a bit, since the weather was so nice.  Then our entire family loaded up in the blue car (that is what Sarah and Adam call my car) and drove to Mr. Matt's house (a fire fighter friend) so we could borrow his truck!  We needed his truck because the new kitchen table we were buying from Costco could not fit into our car.  Once we got all five boxes of furniture into the truck and home, we had to inspect every piece to make sure the kitchen table was just right. The Chorak family is happy to announce that everything checked out AOK and it looks great!

While Sarah and Adam were playing outside I had a chance to take a picture of Sarah role playing with her new Barbie. (Thanks Chaney Family for the great doll, Sarah loves it).  After taking this picture I really wish I would of taken a video of the entire tea party because Sarah could of been in a movie or commercial advertising Barbie!  I just love this age and what a creative mind my four year old has!

The table is finally put together!  What a better way to enjoy it than spending quality time as the  family playing Candy Land!  Check out Chad's head band .... I wonder who made him wear that!

I can't decide if I like the table facing this way.. or

this way!
Your opinion matters, so please let me know.  If you can't post on the blog than facebook me or email me!  I still can't decide nor can anyone else.  Having a second opinion always matters.

Day 10....
Today I had a difficult time coming up with something to post.  I usually have a picture and something to say before 7:00pm  but tonight I was struggling.  I had thought about posting a picture of the new Shark floor machine that I purchase and used on my floors today (by the way... everyone need a shark) however, I just wanted something more.  Like a photo that would capture Sarah and Adam in the moment.   I am happy to announce that by 8:00pm the perfect picture was captured and this is what I found!

For Christmas Santa brought Sarah a flashlight to keep by her bed.  Tonight, thirty minutes after putting Sarah to bed, I found her using it to read the story Kiss Goodnight.   This is one of the many stories I have been reading Sarah since she was a baby.  At first Sarah had no idea I was peeking into the doorway watching her, until the flash to my camera went off  and then I was caught!   The best part about catching her in the moment was  listening to her whisper the words that she had memorized after all these years!  Sarah great job!  Your pre-reading skills are outstanding!  I am so thrilled you have a passion to read!

Day 9.....
What a better way to enjoy today other than spending time as a family and doing yard work.  What a great way to bound with one another, build communication skills, and enjoy the quiet moments together. Times like these come far and in between in todays' world, however these are the times we hold close to our hearts.  By the way, I could not get over the fact that Sarah and Adam asked when they could rake leaves again.  Times like today are priceless, free, and full of true family fun and the fact my kids asked to do it again says something!

Team work!

Adam is so determined to get every leaf in the basket on his on.

Five bags later!  This little boy is tired, just look at those eyes!

Chad and I have been promising Sarah and Adam they could take a bath in our tub.  After a hard days work, they deserved it.  Adam however got this unexpected burst of energy once he hit the tub and he decided to wash Sarah's hair!  The great part about all of this is, Sarah let him!  She must of been really tired because she does not like anyone playing with her hair!

Day 8.....
The Chaney family finally made it over to our new house!  We tried to make it happen right after the move but it  just got so crazy.  We finally made it work after the holidays and we had a fabulous time!  We could not ask for a better family to be friends with!

Our realtor gave us a gift basket full of goodies as a house warming present. What a better night to use it than tonight, considering great company only comes along so often!

Giovanni's is one of our favorite pizza places around town.  Adam, Brandon, Jenna and Sarah had a blast eating pizza with spaghetti and meatballs at the bar.  Everyone say PIZZA!

Jenna and Sarah got along like champs the entire night but then again, they always do!  By the end of the night they were both in PJ's and having the best time!  It does not matter what time of day it is, Sarah loves being in her PJ's!

What boy does not love trains at this age?  Brandon and Adam played and shared so well, considering they are only two!

This is how I wish I could spend every night!
