Day...
Sarah's five year old check up and Adam's three year old check up!

Sarah grew three inches in a year!  She is 43" tall which puts her in the 50-70 percentile. She weights 39.5 pounds and is in the 50 percentile.  Her blood pressure 96/54 and heart rate 96.  Sarah passed her hearing and vision test!  The worst part of the physical for Sarah was the shots but she was a champ and is now ready for Kindergarten! Watching Sarah grow the last year has been a complete joy.  Her developmental  skills such  as movement, fine motor, language, cognitive and social skills are normal or above. Sarah has been a great big sister and plays very well with Adam. I am glad to see that they are best friends and hope this continues in years to come.  Daddy and I are so proud of you Sarah!

Adam grew four inches in a year!  He is 38" tall which puts him in the 50/70 percentile range.  He weighs 36 pounds which is in the 90 percentile. The doctor seemed concerned about his weight and would like  him to eat  fat free dairy and other products.  We use 1% milk and try to stay away from fat free because those products have high aspartame.  At this point in time, Chad and I will keep an eye on his weight but will not be changing much about his diet.  He is only three and by no means over weight and eats healtheir than his sister Sarah. If anything his cholesterol is at an all time low this year (it was finally in normal range) to the point the doctor was very happy.  So I think we will continue on the same path we have been on.
I did not get a picture of Adam during his physical because Chad had the camera, while he was taking pictures of Sarah during her eye and hearing test.  It was more convenient to have their physical on the same day at the same time but now I am sad that I don't have a photo of Adam.  By the time I thought of taking a pictue of Adam, it was to late in the game because he already had his shots.  I will make it up to him when he turns four and then again when he is five.  Plus I don't think he would want to see a photo of himself crying!
My sweet Adam has come so far this year!  Adam's language skills have grown so much in a year which is contributed to the interaction with his sister, me staying home and working with him, going to school twice a week and of course speech therapy.  Other than Adam's articulation he is at or above developmental milestones that are required for his age.  I am so proud of you Adam and keep up the great work.  The last year has been a complete joy watching you smile, laugh and express yourself in ways your daddy and I will treasure forever.
